Jeremy Menuhin, piano, made his New York debut as winner of the Young Concert Artists’ Piano Competition in 1984 and soon afterwards gave the first in a number of concerts with the Berlin Philharmonic. He has regularly given recitals in the Kennedy Center in Washington, the Philharmonie in Berlin, the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and the Salle Pleyel in Paris. He has played with many leading orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic, the Orchestre Nationale de France, the Houston Symphony, the Israel Philharmonic, the Czech Philharmonic, Salzburg Mozarteum and the chamber orchestras of Zurich, St. Petersburg and Prague as well as the English Chamber Orchestra.
Jeremy Menuhin has recorded works by Schubert, Mozart, Debussy, Beethoven and Dvorak for Chandos, EMI, Dinemec Classics and Ades. His recording of Bartok’s Sonatas for Violin and Piano with his father, Yehudi Menuhin, was awarded the prestigious Grand Prix du Disque. His Schubert recordings (four CDs to date) have been widely acclaimed.
