Lea Boesch, viola, was born in Zurich and studied with Nobuko Imai and Thomas Riebl. She is now completing a postgraduate degree at the Musikakademie Basel with Rainer Schmidt.

She has appeared as a soloist with the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the Swiss Youth Symphony Orchestra and performed at various chamber music festivals such as the Davos Festival and the Open Chamber Music Festival in Prussia Cove. Lea Boesch regularly substitutes for the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich and with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks. She has played as Principal Viola with the Swiss Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Verbier Festival Orchestra.

Boesch has received various prizes and awards including a grant from the Friedl Wald Foundation in Basel and a one-year scholarship from the Marianne & Curt Dienemann Foundation in Lucerne. She has been supported as a “Migros – Kulturprozent Soloist”.
